Deaths Mane
Deaths Mane – Spectral Horse in Smoke and Bone
A horse's head and neck emerge from shadow, but this isn't a normal horse. The skull shows through where flesh has fallen away, and the mane hangs in dark, tattered strands like wet rope. The color palette is cold: steel blue, charcoal, and bone white, with a smoky golden wash behind it that catches like firelight. The eyes are hollow. The posture is still, almost regal.
It's gothic without being cartoonish. The realism in the bone structure and the muted palette give it a fine art quality that separates it from typical dark art. A strong pick for man caves, offices, or bedrooms where the decor runs dark and the taste runs a little morbid.
