Waterside Garden Party

Waterside Garden Party – A Victorian Animal Garden Party by the River

A crocodile in a teal suit holds court on a sunlit riverbank while a cat in white lace strolls past, parasols tilted and top hats angled just so. It's a Victorian garden party, only the guests are animals. The drawing stays flat and graphic, the kind of clean illustration that reads clearly from across a room, with palm trees framing a lush green lawn.

Color does a lot of the work here. Warm yellows in the light, jewel tones in the clothing, and cool blue water running along the bottom edge. Hang it in a living room or a reading nook and it gives people something to puzzle over, the wit landing on the second or third look rather than the first.

Pairs well with Animal Artwork, Living Room Wall Art and Floral Art.

Animals in Their Sunday Best

A riverside party where the crocodile wears teal and the cat wears lace. Flat, graphic, and a little absurd, sitting somewhere between a storybook plate and a Japanese print.
