Skeletons Festive Gathering

Skeletons Festive Gathering – A Feast Where the Dead Wear Masks

A wolf in a black mariachi suit holds the head of a long table, and the guests around him are dressed just as well: a bull skull, a lion, a stag, a leopard, a crow. Marigolds and candles run the length of the table, framed photographs lean against the centerpieces, and papel picado banners hang overhead in pink, green, and blue. Warm amber light pulls the whole scene together.

This is Day of the Dead folk art turned up loud, painterly and packed with detail, with something to catch your eye in every corner. The orange-heavy palette and macabre subject make it a strong pick for a living room or dining room that can carry a big, dramatic piece.

Pairs well with Maximalist Canvas Art, Gothic & Macabre Artwork and Animal Artwork.

The Honored Dead, Dressed for Dinner

A wolf in black leads the table while masked animal figures fill the rest of the seats. Marigolds, candles, and old photographs set the scene. Hard to look away from.
